Generating candidate topics

Go to the Topic Builder / Products view and click on 🪄 Generate Topic (0). Fill in the screen (see the more detailed explanation of what to do here to generate topics.

The generated Google Sheet or CSV includes only topics that meet these criteria: at least one positive label group, the required number of labels based on the n-gram setting, and the minimum number of products. However, the search volume minimum isn't enforced at this stage. This means too many topics may be generated that won't ultimately be used. You may want to manually filter out topics with less than the minimum search volume now.

To load the topic export, go to the Topics view and click “Load from topic export”. Add your Google Sheet URL and click "Load." The “Load from topic export” button will turn grey and a progress counter will appear, showing how many of the export’s topics have been loaded. These topics will show up in the pending tab of the Topics view. Once all the topics have been loaded, go to the Pending column in the Topics view and click Refresh. This will apply a sieve of different mechanisms to the topics, leaving a few in the “Waiting for Approval” tab.
