Settings
The settings screen includes
- Sitemaps. You can add new sitemaps and see the ones that are there, see when they last were crawled and how many pages we've got for them.
- Page types, such as
categorypages, productpages orreviewpages. This lets you add regex patterns for URLs to map pages to identify what type those are. You can also add the Maximum Best Position for a page type. That means that if a page of this type ranks for a keyword that's the same or similar to the topic that we're targeting, we will reject the topic if the page ranks better than this maximum best position. - Some general settings, such as
- minimum number of products required for a new category page. Typically that's set to 3 minimum products, although some sites require more.
- and the minimum demand, or monthly search volume, required for a new category page. The minimum demand is simply set to 100, but many sites dial this down to 10.
- Some more complex configurations that you can ignore. Warning: changing these could stop New Pages from working.
- The Google Search Console connections. You can connect your account or see which relevant properties are connected.
