Introduction to NewPages.io User Guide
This guide is an introduction to getting new pages live. For more detailed explanations of the individual views, see this section.
New Pages takes a product feed, one or more sitemaps and connects to Google Search Console (GSC) and Google Analytics (GA). It generates labels from products, combines those into topics, then checks whether each topic:
- matches an existing page
- matches keywords the site already ranks for (or similar ones)
- has insufficient products, or those products aren’t relevant
- has too little monthly search volume for the local market
After filtering out the duds, the remaining topics sit waiting for approval. Once approved they can be published straight to the site via the integration, complete with h1, category blurb, meta-title and meta-description, plus the relevant products.
The pages have internal links generated by internallinking.io. The pages’ products and links stay up-to-date automatically even as the site changes around them.
New Pages tracks performance:
- Rankings, impressions and traffic, through the GSC integration
- and sessions & revenue, through the GA integration.
